Our Programs

From emergency food and clothing to crisis support, sustainability, and seasonal outreach, we meet neighbors where they are and help them move toward lasting stability.

Emergency Resources

Choice Food Pantry

Shop in our food pantry for a three-day supply of food based on your family size. We offer a wide selection that changes daily depending on what we have available.
Personal care products, baby diapers, adult diapers, feminine hygiene products, and baby formula/baby food are available in the pantry upon request as they are donated to us.

Clothing & Housewares

Shop in our clothing and housewares department. We have many household items such as dishes, cookware, and small appliances.

We do not provide furniture or mattresses.

Crisis Intervention

Services & Referrals

Our on-site social worker works directly with our members on résumé building, goal setting, and general support.

Speak with our social worker to receive resource referrals for mental health/addiction, healthcare, utilities, emergency housing, and family services.

Sustainability

Money Matters

Our Money Matters financial-literacy program introduces students to managing money and building self-sufficiency, helping disrupt generational cycles of poverty.

Valley Dash

Food is delivered to community members who have little to no transportation capabilities. This outreach service expands our reach to clients with poor access to our on-site services, such as elderly and homebound individuals. Our van transports fresh food on a weekly basis to various sites year-round. Please call for details or special delivery requests.

Seasonal Programs

We offer several annual programs during periods of time when resources are especially strained. Contact info@vicrc.org as processes and eligibility for seasonal programs do change and are limited in supply.

Back to School (B2S)

Each year we prepare students for the new school year with supplies and pre-filled backpacks.

To have your school considered, contact Zoe Huxell:

Thanksgiving Food Basket

Held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, members receive a holiday food box filled with Thanksgiving dinner fixings and additional pantry staples. Food boxes are distributed at Valley between 10am–1pm. No sign-up is needed.

Holiday Sharing Program

Held during the last week of service before the holiday break. Gift cards are available for members while supplies last, holiday food staples are available in the pantry, and a limited number of toys are also available.
